NAMM 2025 – The Round-Up

It’s one of the most important events for music gearheads around the world, and it’s made an impact again this year with a slew of brands dropping hot new releases, not to mention the return of some big names. The NAMM 2025 show was the longest in the history of the tradeshow; exhibits officially started on 23rd January, but there were two days of events before.

NAMM 2025: key releases

Marshall Amp Series Pedals

 

  • Marshall returned to NAMM after five years… and they didn’t come back quietly!
  • Their new Amp Series pedals bring classic Marshall amps in pedal form – perfect for guitarists who want that Marshall sound in a compact setup
  • We have the JVM, the 1959, the DSL, the JCM 900, and JCM 800, all of which provide the legendary tones of their respective amps

Fender Standard Series

  • Fender were back for the first time since 2020!
  • The brand’s presence came as a U-turn after Andy Mooney’s previous comments that they had no intentions of returning
  • Their biggest launch, the Fender Standard Series, offers all that renowned classic Fender quality in an affordable package
  • The new line comprises a Strat, HSS Strat, Tele, Jazz Bass, and Precision Bass
  • All include Fender Standard pickups
  • It’s all in the details – the Modern C-shaped maple neck is designed for comfortable playability, with a satin urethane finish for fast sliding across the frets

Fender Acoustasonic Standard Jazzmaster

  • One of the more intriguing Fender releases from this year’s NAMM is the Solid Sitka spruce top Acoustasonic Jazzmaster
  • Similar to the Standard Series mentioned above, the Acoustasonic boasts a modern “Deep C” Nyatoh neck for seamless, comfortable playability
  • Also designed with forearm and back contours for more comfort
  • Boasts an innovative dual pickup system: Fishman under-saddle transducer combined with the Acoustasonic Shawbucker

Korg

 

  • Possibly the most consistent brand when it comes to synths released at NAMM, Korg were, of course, the brand to watch for cool, innovative bits of music tech
  • This year, we have the Handytraxx turntables – the Play, the Tube, and the 1bit, the brand’s first turntables with specialised functionality that suits DJs and vinyl enthusiasts
  • The brand also released the latest iteration of their now-revived Kronos series, the Kronos 3 Workstation, available in 61-key73-key, and 88-key sizes
  • The Kronos 3 boasts nine advanced sound engines, over 300 sound libraries, and 256 new programs, including the Italian Grand Piano and the vintage-inspired Tine EP I Early electric piano

More NAMM 2025 releases

  • The DigiTech Whammy V MonoNeon Edition is a striking update to a legendary pedal that allows you to create everything from soaring harmonies to wild dive bombs with precision and ease. Perfect for studio use, the device features Mix Assist and Air Feel to simplify professional-quality recordings.
  • Building on Nord’s reputation for premium quality gear and innovative design, the Nord Organ 3 was also announced at NAMM 2025. With enhanced B3 emulation, advanced rotary speaker modelling, expanded effects, and usability upgrades, it provides a comprehensive solution for musicians who need authentic organ tones and versatile performance capabilities.
  • Back for the first time in 10 years, Behringer gave us a range of offerings at this year’s tradeshow, including the LM Drum Hybrid Drum Machine, which brings the iconic drum sounds of the ’80s into the modern era. Featuring a sampling sound engine with 109 classic drum sounds and original analog circuitry, including 3320 VCF and 2164 VCA chips, it delivers the crunchy, warm tones that define countless hits. A 64-step sequencer, advanced sound-shaping tools, and 16 velocity-sensitive pads make it ideal for creative production and dynamic performances. With comprehensive MIDI, USB, and analog connectivity, plus intuitive controls, the LM Drum seamlessly integrates into any setup for studio or live use.
  • We were inundated with Ibanez launches ahead of the tradeshow. With acoustics ranging from the VC44CE to the AEWC621 and a huge variety of electrics such as the SR300EB and the AS73G , the brand have catered to pretty much all kinds of guitarists with any budget.
  • This year’s show also brought us the IK Multimedia TONEX Cab, an FRFR powered cabinet that delivers an authentic amp-like playing experience, replicating the feel and dynamics of a traditional amplifier. Its exclusive AMP TONE control lets you fine-tune resonance and response, offering a natural and interactive “amp-in-the-room” sound. It’s powered by a 350 W RMS Class-D amplifier and features a custom Celestion 12″ speaker with a Lavoce compression driver. Flexible connectivity, MIDI integration, and a built-in IR loader with programmable presets make it versatile for any setup.
