The Paiste 900 Series takes a new step into value for money. The cymbals in the 900 Series are crafted in Switzerland using unchanged, authentic methods to produce top class products for over half a century. Thoughtful design has clearly gone into this range of 900 Series Cymbals to supply you with great flexibility without having to sacrifice any of the feel or outstanding play-ability.

Color Sound Cymbals

Paiste first introduced colour-coated cymbals with Color Sound 5 in 1984 as a means for artistic expression during the time period when popular music became visual in television music videos. Later, in the 1990s, VISIONs made an appearance and in recent years certain Artist Inspiration models have featured coloured coating - Stewart Copeland's Blue Bell Ride, Aquiles Priester's Giga Bell Ride and Danny Carey's Dry Heavy Ride.

Extensive research and design efforts have resulted in the most stunningly beautiful finishes: luminous translucent colors preserve the natural appearance of grooves and hammer marks and present a vibrantly radiant appearance. Notably, decades of experience have proven the Color Sound finish to be exceedingly tough and durable - the finish will not ever crack, chip or peel.

The Paiste Color Sound 900 14'' Sound Edge Hi-Hats are versatile cymbals that produce a fat, powerful sound with a fairly heavy feel and strong stick presence. Based on the standard 900 series hi-hat cymbals, the Color Sound 900 Sound Edge cymbals feature a unique red finish which causes a slightly drier sound, shortens the sustain slightly and results in a more focused attack. Made from 2002 bronze, Paiste Color Sound cymbals deliver authentic feeling playability that is perfect for both live performances and studio recording sessions.

The Paiste Color Sound 900 17'' Crash Cymbal produces a very bright, full-bodied sound with a long sustain. Featuring a unique red finish, the Paiste Color 17’’ Crash has a slightly drier sound with a more focused attack.

The Paiste 900 Series 20" Ride creates a powerful ping sound at an appealing price. The 900 Series Ride Cymbal produces medium to very loud volumes consisting of a wide range of tones. This gives you a lively intensity with long sustain to provide a heavy feel that can be used best in loud music. The thoughtful design of the 900 Series 20" Ride gives the player a full-bodied, cutting ride cymbal. The cymbal is developed from 2002 bronze with a special finish that highlights the lathing grooves and slightly darkens the colour. The result is a sharp sounding ride of fine quality.
