View Full DescriptionThe Bodhran is the historic drum of Ireland and is the primary rhythmic accompaniment for the folk music of the Emerald Isle. It s a large frame drum with a cross bar in the back, is typically low-pitched and is played with a double headed wooden mallet called the Cipin. The pitch and timbre of the Bodhran are changed by the non-striking hand through shifting positions and applying varying pressure to the back of the head.
Remo makes three different pre-tuned Bodhrans. All are made with ACOUSTICON shells and ambassador-weight FIBERSKYN® 3 heads.
