Although designed to look small and neat the HD-1 boasts powerful V-Drum performance. The latest technologies from Roland mean drummers can experience digital features such as versatility, easy editing and quiet practice along with the acoustic style, realism and playing experience that allows the development of skills easily transferrable to an acoustic kit.

The HD-1's drum sounds will change dependent on how hard the pad is struck but, like an acoustic drum, the sound will also change its tonal characteristics. The change is far more dynamic, expressive and true to life than just turning up the volume on one standard sound which is how many previous kits would work.

The HD-1 drum set includes the most expressive hi-hat control available and gives you all the subtle tones of an acoustic hi-hat. Not just open and closed, but all sound variations in between as you move the hi-hat pedal while playing the pad.

Roland DT-1 V Drums Tutor Software

Included in this pack is the Roland V-Drums DT-1 Tutor Software which can help you get on the fast track to better drumming. Connect your HD-1 kit to your computer using the included cable and enjoy playing along to onboard patterns and songs using colourful graphics and patterns to simplify complex beats. This software can also be incorporated into lessons or used to set drum homework. With 60 preset songs and 57 basic drum patterns to learn this is sure to have you playing for hours!

V-Drums Friend Jam

Roland's Friend Jam is a fun and free practice game for V-Drums which lets you compete against other drummers from around the world. Available on a laptop or as an app, simply connect your V-Drums to your computer using the included USB cable and play!

Drum along with one of the many backing tracks or download and play along to your favourite songs. The Friend Jam technology measures your accuracy as you play and illustrates which pads you hit and how hard. Once you've finished it analyses your technique, gives you a score and ranks you in the global rankings. You can even Tweet your score to let followers know how well you're doing!

Friend Jam is a fun game that encourages practice and helps you measure and track your progress. With all this competition, you'll soon be climbing up the leaderboard!
