Interchangeable Leather Insert

The Snareweight Jr features an interchangeable insert that is constructed using a piece of leather attached to a magnet in order to connect it to the Snareweight's body. The leather helps to dampen the sound of the drum, compressing its sound and smoothing out any over tune to give you more control, and providing the toms with some added punch. The leather inserts can be flipped with the softer side providing a round bodied tone, and the rougher side providing more stick attack.

Neodymium Magnet

The Snareweight Jr includes a strong magnet that allows it to attach to the drum as well as keep the insert in place. With its design first created in 2011, specific improvements have been made to the magnet and its enclosure to prevent the magnet from chipping and prevent any jittering when the drum is struck hard, as well as providing a magnet with a sharp compound angle to allow it to fit on tom and snare hoops with a range of 5-10 degrees.
