This powerful kit focuses first and foremost on sound. The full character and rich resonance of its tone comes from the carefully selected Birch shells which have been moulded to exact specifications.
Hyper-Drive Toms
Hyper-Drive is a new standard depth sixe on tom toms. The short depth creates enhanced attach and punch with quick response. It also allows you to set the rack toms in lower positions so you can post the tom toms more freely.
Star Cast Mounting System
The patented Star-Cast Mounting System provides maximum resonance and stability for Tama's pro drum kits. A streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together for greater ease and comfort. A switch to aluminium also makes them lighter weight with truer tonal vibration.
Die-Cast Hoops
The choice of hoops was important to Tama's designers of their professional drum range as they affect drum tuning and drum sound. The zinc die-cast hoops are manufactured by injecting molten metal into molds, giving these hoops more density and consistency than triple flanged hoops. Die-cast hoops make tuning more consistent and easier because the tension bolts contact the hoop properly. It also gives the drums crisper attach, clear and resonant highs and more powerful rim shots.
Power Craft II Drumheads
All Superstar's "Power CraftII" drum heads ensure a great sound practically right out of the box! Batter side heads are made of Dupont® Mylar® film for richer tone and greater durability. Ring mufflers on bass drum heads remove the need for extra internal muffling.
