Swingstar continues to break new ground by delivering more high-end features at an entry-level price. New features include Accu-Tune bass drum hoops, the legendary Omni-Ball tom holder, and double-braced legs. Only the great Swingstar shells - crafted to the same exacting standards as our high-end professional kits - have remained the same.

Shells:

Tama's Swingstar shells are crafted of Philippine Mahogany for warm sound, excellent projection, and structural strength. Precise bearing edges provide the easier tuning that beginners need as well as the wide tuning range that pros demand.

We're raising the bar again. All Swingstar 5pc catalog kits feature 18" extra deep bass drums and Accel-sized toms.

Accu-Tune Hoops

Tama's Accu-Tune hoops have it all. Their hi-tech material offers lighter weight, and faster, more stable tuning than traditional metal hoops. Since Accu-Tune hoops use tension bolts instead of clawhooks and T-rods, head changes and packing up are a breeze. A special groove at the bottom of the hoop offers easy and secure pedal connection even when the bass drum is angled.

Bass Drum Spur Bracket

Nowadays it's common sense not to put the spur into the shell where it would interfere with resonance.

But that wasn't always the case. So it was a breakthrough when Tama pioneered the idea of no shell penetrating hardware. Our MSB10 continues this Tama tradition with a two piece case design that provides both security and easy set up.

Omni-Ball Tom Holder

With its rock solid stability, Tama's Omniball system has been acclaimed by pro drummers for well over twenty years.

With Swingstar's MTH500 double tom holder, you can achive almost any angle by simply loosening one T-nut

Double Braced Leg Hardware

Heavy duty in durability, but light in weight, Swingstar hardware features double braced legs and 25.4mm diameter base tube.
