The Digital Drums 502-J Electronic Kit by Gear4Music is the perfect instrument for the beginner, as well as the advancing player or expert looking for a practice kit or software trigger. Coming as standard with a snare pad, 3 toms, hi-hat and cymbals, this kit looks and feels like a standard acoustic kit, but with the extra bonus of being able to change sounds at the push of a button.

The realistic feeling drum and cymbal pads have a tough rubber skin, with the same feel and response that you get from an acoustic kit. Each pad features accurate velocity response, being able to respond to anything from the most subtle of cymbal rolls, to your hardest pedal downbeat or rim shot. The rims of the pads are made from a tough moulded polymer. You even have the option to change the drum heads, allowing you to use your favourite head, whilst still taking advantage of the features available on this kit. It is simply a case of unscrewing the rim, changing the head, and screwing the rim back down again.

The sounds on this kit will blow you away too; it comes with 215 individual drum, cymbal and percussion sounds, which have been carefully arranged into 20 preset kits, with the ability to change the individual sounds and volumes and store these to 10 user kits. Each sound has been carefully sampled and reacts accurately to how hard you strike the pad, just like an acoustic kit. As well as having control over the sounds used in the kit, you can change the individual volumes quickly and easily giving you further scope for creativity.

The 502-J is not only great sounding, but also perfect as a learning and training tool. It comes with 50 preset backing tracks in a variety of styles and tempi, each with the ability to control what part are playing. For example you can have all parts playing and you can try to match the rhythm being played by the kit, or you can turn off the percussion part and jam along with the instruments. As such, the 502-J is the perfect kit for leaning to play the drums, as well as building the confidence and technique of an advancing player, safe in the knowledge that this great kit will grow with their learning.
