About Luis Conte

Luis Conte is a Cuban conga player who fuses traditional Cuban rhythms with modern pop and rock music. His extensive catalogue of spicy Latin rhythms can be heard on albums by Madonna, Ray Charles, Phil Collins, Santana, Shakira and many more. Along with inspiration from his native Cuba, Luis also developed a passion for rock and roll, R&B, soul, jazz and the Beatles. Taking every opportunity to play drums, Luis has become one of the most well-respected percussionists in the world. He has performed on international tours with superstars such as Madonna, Phil Collins and James Taylor. Robust hardware

Robust hardware ensures your conga always sounds perfect. On the congas, 8mm strong tuning lugs and 5mm TTR rims are robust and keep your tuning in tact. Meinl Conga Savers are included to prevent damage. You can place them over your lugs and the conga will still be tune-able.
