The Pearl Championship Maple 14'' x 12'' Marching Snare Drum features Pearl’s high-quality wood shells, implementing a natural balance of mid to high frequencies with remarkable projection and volume. The free-floating shell design is constructed from 100 percent maple, offering extreme strength and reliability for use in all climate conditions. Enhanced sensitivity makes the snare ideal for even the most demanding drumming situations. The snare utilises an FFX aluminium frame with an aluminium alloy edge ring, providing a top bearing edge which can handle all of the pressure necessary for modern, high-tension drumheads. The frame also increases stability and focuses volume with a 45-degree bottom bearing edge and 2-ply reinforcement rings.
Superior Shell Technology
Pearl have also implemented their Superior Shell Technology, using a proprietary technique to create the most efficient air chamber possible. Each wood has been chosen due to its acoustic properties and crafted using advanced construction methods to achieve an air-tight fit. Every wood ply is saturated with Pearl's 'AcoustiGlue' which dries to the exact consistency of the wood for maximum resonance. The plies are finally formed in high-temperature moulds under extreme pressure to produce shells which support the perfect balance between strength, exceptional tonal warmth, and remarkable resonance.
