Designed with musicians and DJs in mind, the Akai MPX8 is the ultimate portable sample pad controller. Its compact size and streamlined design make it perfect for users on the go, fitting easily within the smaller pocket of a backpack. The backlit pads are ideal for low-light environments such as music venues. Utilising the same pad technology used in the iconic MPC series, the MPX8 provides the same natural feel and playability as its siblings.

Sample editor and loop library

The MPX8 comes complete with Sample Kit Editor software, which comes in handy when you want to import and edit your own samples. Using the Sample Kit Editor you can arrange, tune and even add reverb to your samples on your computer before loading them into the MPX8. The sample editor features drag-and-drop useability, making the process of importing samples quick and easy.

As well as the large library of pre-loaded samples, Akai has also included a free ‘Loop Library’ download code which you can use to access a wide variety of custom sounds and samples. Whether you’re a musician, DJ, online streamer or podcaster; the MPX8 allows you to trigger sounds and samples with ease.
