Remo`s rope-tuned Ashiko features a thinner ACOUSTICON 316 shell, and when combined with rope-tuning, makes for a significantly lighter drum compared to the key-tuned model.

Unlike the key-tuned models straight walls, the rope-tuned Ashiko integrates a lightweight "Triple-bump" shell design for easier tuning and enhanced bass tones using the Type 2 FIBERSKYN® 3 drumhead. The "Triple-Bump" design also eliminates the need for shell mounted hardware that can interfere with the drums natural warmth and resonance.

The rope tuned Ashiko can be played sitting or standing using a Remo Slider Strap.
