Key Features
Trade in your Doepfer A-155 Analog/Trigger Sequencer with Gear4music. If you're reworking your modular system or seeking more advanced sequencing capabilities, it could be a great time to switch things up. The A-155 provides hands-on control and classic analog sequencing, but you might be ready for something with more complex pattern creation or additional step sequencing features.
You could explore digital sequencers with deeper memory options or modules that offer more intricate modulation of patterns. Trading in with Gear4music makes it easy to update and enhance your modular workflow.

To get the A-155 running, you should send a clock signal to the clock input. A good module to use for this is an LFO set to a pulse wave setting. When you increase the frequency of the LFO, the sequence will get faster and vice versa.
The clock can be controlled manually with an adjacent button, as with the three other control inputs. These include a stop (which stops the sequence advancing), start (which starts it again), and reset (which sends it back to step one).
The trigger outputs send a short pulse - ideal for controlling envelopes, sample/hold units and more. They are set using two rows of eight switches.
In the neutral position they don't send any output, but set to either up or down will send to the corresponding trigger output shown by the lines on the unit. There is also the gate output, which instead of a short pulse, sends a high signal.
Two rows of eight knobs determine the A-155's voltage output. The upper row's range is set via a three-way switch to either 1V, 2V or 4V - ideal for precise applications like pitch control. The lower row's range can be set wider, using its scale knob, but as a result, is not as precise.
Each row has a glide control, determining how much the A-155 slides between voltage values. The output can then be set to either pre or post-glide, depending on whether you want to use it. There's also a sample and hold output available, as well as audio/CV inputs for each voltage step and a CV control input for glide values.
