View Full DescriptionThe Bows offers many more tonal options than you might first think with its one control dial and one switch. Full Mode provides a warm sound with tonnes of lovely body and bottom end, and Treble Mode gives a contrasting resonant treble boost with a slight 'wah' effect able to drive any tube amp into distorted places rich with harmonics. Both settings have a slight grit initially, but as you move past 12 o'clock on either dial their subtleties really shine through: The treble will begin to give a vowel-like tone, and the full will start to produce a clear but full-bodied crunch.
The EarthQuaker Bows is true bypass and uses relay based “soft touch” switching for an amazing, natural tone. Audio will not pass without power. Each unit is carefully handcrafted in Ohio, USA.
Controls
- Level: Adjusts the output level by setting the bias voltage of the transistor. Small amounts of noise while dialing this up is perfectly normal.
- Tone Toggle: Treble for a brighter, more resonant tone and Full for a warmer, bass-heavy drive.
