Few bands have created a sound quite like Whitechapel. Their gigantic, low-end riffs and deathcore style have earned their place in metal history. But their unique tone and intense energy often begs the question: what's the secret behind their hailed sound? Having three guitarists tends to help. But having a professional-standard boost pedal takes it to the next level. Which is why Fortin have collaborated with the band's legendary guitarists Zach Householder, Alex Wade, and Ben Savage, to craft their signature boost pedal. And now, that punishing guitar sound is just one switch away.
Boost pedal are about more than just gain. Tone is important, too. Luckily, Fortin have ensured you can take control of every aspect of your sound, giving you total creative freedom when shaping your guitar's voice. The 'Saw' knob lets you set the level of the overall boost, giving you the choice between a subtle increase, or a completely destructive overhaul. Whether you're performing fat, punchy low-end riffs, or screaming highs - the Blade features a 'Cut' and a 'Deep' control to sculpt your sound your way.
The 'Cut' lets you roll on the highs for more harmonics, or dial them back for a more scooped voice. Whereas, you can use the 'Deep' knob to beef up your sound with more bass, or give it a more articulate edge where your notes shine through. Whatever your taste, the Blade hosts enough tone-shaping potential to satisfy the demands of any guitarist. And it's waiting for your creative spark.
Naturaly, when it comes to pedals, the focus lies almost exclusively on the sound. And, as a result, the practicalities can often be overlooked. Fortin have made no such mistake. As the Blade is quite simply tailored for the touring musician. A robust outer-casing ensures you can take it with you to every practice and performance, with the peace of mind that it'll handle even the most vigorous of players. What's more - the jack inputs/outputs are fitted on the top of the pedal, meaning you'll save even more space on your pedalboard. Topped off with a true bypass circuit for maximum tonal clarity, the Fortin Blade is destined for the stage.
