Flame Maple Body

This eye-catching semi acoustic guitar features a semi hollow body manufactured from flame maple. This stunning wood provides the distinctive flame grain that many top end guitars and violins use, and delivers a loud, projective tone with plenty of sustain. Its semi hollow body is lightweight and can be played for much longer, compared to a solid body. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, and allow the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes, also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.

Neck & Fingerboard

As well as featuring a comfortable body, the AF155 also includes an Artstar neck, which consists of a three-piece mahogany and maple, with a thinner profile for comfort. This thinner neck is mounted with an ebony fingerboard with hand rolled fret edges, allowing for smooth chord changes and fluid hand flexibility.

Super 58 Pickups

The Ibanez AF155-AYS is perfect for jazz fans, with its choice of Super 58 pickups that feature on George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield's signature models. This vintage choice of pickup delivers warm, balanced articulation, an excellent response, and a perfect tone for jazz guitarists. These pickups are capable of delivering a 'jazz clean' tone, as well as 'blues-dirty' for a versatile performance.
