The Ibanez Artcore Vintage guitars feature 'aged' hardware and finishes to give the impression that they've withstood a lifetime of playing. The ASV10A features a worn exterior with an authentic vintage low-gloss finish. Ibanez's Sure Grip control knobs add to the classic looks, whilst also providing a more direct feel.
These are the ideal guitars for those who want the looks and the sounds of a vintage guitar, but with the playability and reliability associated with modern instruments.
Resonant Tonewoods
The ASV10A is crafted from a hollow maple body which gives a bright and resonant sound that is highly expressive. The mahogany neck assists with warmth and sustain and is glued to the body for enhanced resonance. A fixed ART-1 bridge locks the strings firmly to the body for optimum string vibration transfer, while the Quik Change III tailpiece enables quick string changes.
Classic Humbuker Tones
The ASV10A is loaded with Classic Elite humbuckers. These have a vintage-inspired tonality, created by a low-medium output that gives just the right amount of bite and growl and provides blues and rock players with the edge they require.
The pickups have individual volume and tone controls to give full adjustment over your sound. They are wired with a 3-way toggle-switch creating 3 distinct sounds to utilise, from biting bridge-position tones to warm and mellow neck-position sounds.
Smooth Playability
The double cutaway body and set-in neck create easy access right up to the 22nd fret. This means soloists will have no problems reaching those high notes. The comfortable mahogany neck has a medium-thin profile that sits comfortably in the left hand while the 22 medium frets and 305mm radius provide an ideal balance between chordal comfort and lead-guitar playing ease.
