The original JHS Pink Panther was one of the earliest JHS creations. It was also the first JHS delay pedal, dating back to 2007/2008. This new edition continues their delay line, embracing their goal of delivering flexible, simple, and truly unique high-quality effects units. With the second-hand value of the original Pink Panther becoming exceptionally high, it was time for a new design that would deliver that same legendary sound, whilst improving and adding features. With other delay pedals in JHS' line providing unsurpassed authentic bucket brigade analog delay tones, the Pink Panther reissue delivers something completely different by delving into the world of digital processing. With some of the greatest delay units of the past incorporating digital processing into their designs, the Pink Panther tips its hat to those that paved the way for this immensely versatile technology. The new Pink Panther enables you to replicate, effect, and mould your guitar tone into something that only a digital delay can, providing you with a world of tonal sculpting and rich, ethereal spatial effects. This compact and rugged delay unit is loaded with features, and its simplistic interface and intuitive controls allow you to create incredible sounds at the touch of a button.

Controls

• Time: This control gives you complete manual control of the speed of your repeats. With the capability to go from the shortest slapback echoes, all the way to one full second of delay time, the Pink Panther has an incredibly flexible range.

• Dark: Enabling you to darken or brighten the wet signal, the Dark control will produce an untouched, pure digital repeat when fully clockwise, whilst the opposite position will deliver a dark, hidden and lo-fi echo.

• Mod Toggle: This control provides you with three options: two types of modulation on the delayed signal, and a modulation off setting. Down is "Mod 1" which is a light, subtle, and slightly shimmering form of modulation. Middle is "Modulation-Off" which bypasses the modulation effect altogether. Up is "Mod 2" and delivers a deeper and more intense warble for more movement and depth on the delayed signal.

• Mix: This gives you control over the overall effect level of the repeats. From 12 noon and below, repeats will be mixed both below and right up to unity gain. Above noon, the repeats will be slightly boosted. If you decide to turn the knob completely clockwise, there will be no dry signal, with a fully wet signal as a result.

• Ratio: This allows you to choose your subdivisions relative to the tap tempo you have chosen using the built-in tap switch and/or an external Tap. You can set the ratio from a choice of quarter notes, dotted-eigths, eigths, and triplets.

• Repeats: This controls the desired numer of repeats or echoes.

• Digital/Tape Switch: The Digital/Tape Switch allows you to choose between clear, clean and pure digital delay, or JHS' tape delay mode. The tape mode features a slightly saturated and compressed feel that authentically reproduces the sound of a vintage tape machine echo unit.
