The U-Bass was Kala’s first design of a bass ukulele, and has become a musician’s favourite for nearly ten years. The size is easily portable, yet the tone produced has a surprising punch and focus. This model is a more affordable version, built with the durable and attractive Agathis wood. The custom-designed Shadow pickup has EQ and a built on tuner for easy use live. Kala's choice of a solid Mahogany body with a Rosewood fingerboard is the ideal combination for warmth and a well ageing tone.
