The ME-8 features eight different delay based effects from Keeley that can be selected one at a time to enhance the tone of your instrument. Possessing the best of both analogue and digital effects, the Keeley pedal produces a 100% analogue path and combines it with advanced DSP algorithms to produce accurately processed sounds. The pedal possesses two types of automatic double tracking, offering a vintage style and a modern style. The vintage mode has a variable rate and depth to simulate the style of an old reel-to-reel deck, whilst the modern mode features a tone control for adjusting the sound of the voices in the chorus.
The second set of effects that the pedal offers are a tape delay, an analogue delay, and a subdivision digital delay. The tape delay features a wide ringing tone control that can be used to filter the sound of the echoes to simulate an old warn out deck, or to make bright carbon copies of your own tones. The analogue delay features a dynamic modulation, making it affected by the way you play. The digital delay offers eight different subdivisions that include popular and rare versions.
The final set of effects the ME-8 pedal offers is a selection of reverbs, ranging from room and hall to the abbey chamber reverb. The room reverb features distortion controls and produces a similar effect to Keeley’s gold star reverb pedal. The hall reverb can be used to create super long, ambient tones with a hint of shimmer. The abbey chamber reverb offers the same effect as Keeley’s Abbey Chamber Pedal, but features a new resonant point at 2kHz.
The Multi Echo pedal features three control knobs that affect each effect differently.
