The Red Dirt pedal features an RC4558P op-amp with a Keeley designed FET input stage and is then refined to produce incredible tones. The FET produces an overdrive that can make leads sing and rhythm sections dynamic and expressive, giving the pedal an incredibly crisp overdrive that can cut through any dense mix. The pedal possesses the control knobs for adjusting the effects drive, tone and level, and a toggle switch for LO and HI frequencies. In LO mode the overdrive becomes thick and dynamic, with articulation on each string and a rich mid-section. In HI mode the overdrive becomes fat and harmonically rich, with more range in gain.
