Slash's MXR Octave Fuzz combines three effects together, letting you add textures, layers, and plenty of depth to your performance. With the choice between fuzz, octave up, and sub octave effects to experiment with, you can create a wide variety of searing fuzz tones and octave voices. You can either use the SF01R to thicken up your tone with a sinister growl, add extra dynamics that sit just underneath/above you original tone, or simply have fun with different noises.
Even with its wide variety of tonal possibilities, the MXR Octave Fuzz is simple and straight-forward to use. The fuzz, sub octave, and octave up controls let you adjust their respective effect, while volume and tone is perfect for shaping the overall tone. For further tone shaping, two internal controls lets you shape the gain and tone of the octave up fuzz.

Beneath its limited-edition finish, expressive tonal capabilities, and wide range of controls lies an all-analogue design that fuels the SF01R's incredible performance. With analogue circuitry, your tone takes on an organic, warm quality that digital effects lack. This results in each unit taking on a personality of its own - your sound will be truly unique.
You also have access to true bypass switching, letting you retain your signal chains character and integrity whether the pedal is on or off. This is perfect for keeping your signal chain short in small setups since your signal will fully bypass the circuitry in the MXR pedal. Shorter signal chain - more character and signal strength are retained.
