Key Features
The most important element of an amp simulation pedal is how realistic it sounds and feels, and the JIMS 45 delivers this in spades. Its dual-channel architecture allows you to crank up the gain for some classic metal and rock tones heard throughout the decades, or you can focus on a single channel and achieve some lightly driven vintage blues tones right from the 60s. Individual volume, EQ, and gain controls allow you to stack amplification stages your way, as well as a master presence control to get the tone and feel of the real deal on your pedalboard.
The JIM 45's built-in boost circuitry adds not only an extra 5 dB of gain, but a distinctive mid-boost that accurately represents the sound and feel of stacking an overdrive pedal either before or after your amp, with a switchable pre or post position.
To add that final touch of polish, this preamp pedal comes with an official Celestion cabinet simulator, emulating the classically massive 4 x 12 cabinets the amp that inspired this pedal always came with. This recreates the tone of Celestion's G12M Creamback speakers, usually used in cabinets throughout the 60s and 70s, for even more authenticity. Its individual DI output makes it easy to run directly into PA systems when playing live, or audio interfaces when recording at home.
