Charvel guitars have always being designed for speed, and this San Dimas Pro Mod is certainly no exception. The two-piece maple neck has a compound radius maple fingerboard with a Charvel speed profile, perfect for lightning fast playing and completely unhindered position changes. The fingerboard also features rolled edges to provide the broken-in feel of an instrument with plenty of playing miles on it. An alder body provides the guitar with a resonant and balanced tone that has plenty of clarity, while the quilted maple top creates a visually stunning and unique look.
This guitar features a pair of high-output direct mounted Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, both of which produce high octane rock 'n' roll tonality with plenty of sweet overtones. The JB TB-4 Humbucker produces an advanced sustain and an aggressive high output, while the '59 pickup provides bright, warm tones. The volume control ingeniously conceals a push/pull coil split to provides even more tonal variety and versatility, letting you switch between a humbucker and a single coil pickup.
The unique no load tone control is an impressive piece of electronic circuitry which allows the guitar's signal to pass directly through the tone control untainted and unaltered when in the full 10 position. This provides an improved tonality due to the clear signal path. The tone control can also be used as a standard tone control and is simply activated by switching out of the 10 position (no load) and rotating to adjust tonality.
The Charvel guitar features a unique and innovative compound-radius fretboard design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This provides a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows sensational accessibility and speed at the high register, perfect for both lead and rhythm players.
For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years the Floyd Rose locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolo's the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by the addition of a locking nut at the end of the headstock.
