The dense and heavy nature of the mahogany body gives the Rusty Cooley Signature Dean Guitar an impressive amount of sustain and resonance, delivering a warm and overall balanced tone. The mahogany tonewood ensures there is plenty of depth, grind, and bite, offering an incredibly dynamic sound suitable for a wide range of playing styles. Its asymmetrical double cutaway design, along with a bolt-on design, offers incredible comfort and a smooth performance when accessing the higher frets. The body is finished with a unique Xenocide graphic, creating a captivating aesthetic that will standout in any setting.
For the 7-string Rusty Cooley Signature Dean, a set of EMG's powerful 707 and 85-7 humbuckers are equipped to deliver destructive tonal possibilities. The 707 humbucker has been leading the market in 7-string pickups, designed to eliminate the problem with muddy B strings and maintain a balanced and articulate upper register. Selecting the 707 will give your tone an excellent response and tight quality, articulating every note, chord, and harmonic your throw at it. The EMG 85-7 is the 7-string version of their iconic 85 humbucker, featuring close aperture coils and alnico V magnets to deliver a muscular growl and smooth leads. This powerful pickup provides you with exceptional tone and versatility, suitable for everything from jazz to metal.
For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Pro 2000 locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique pitch shifting effects. Unlike non-locking tremolo's, the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch while still retaining the initial tuning thanks to the addition of a locking nut at the end of the headstock.
This Signature Dean Guitar also features a maple neck coupled with an ebony fingerboard, equipped with Cooley’s custom spec'd slim D-shaped profile and 24 jumbo frets for added comfort and versatility. The maple tonewood provides the overall tone with an incredibly bright quality, offering plenty of sweet characteristics to make the high-end shine. The addition of an ebony fingerboard enhances the natural characteristics of the maple, creating plenty of depth and midrange punch to suit a variety of playing styles.
