Loaded with two DMT Designed BKBK humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position, the Z 79 delivers a powerful and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and sparkling highs. Perfect for a range of playing styles and music genres, the DMT Designed BKBK humbuckers particularly excel when used for hard rock and screaming lead licks.

Mahogany Topped With Striking Flame Maple

Mahogany is a fairly dense tonewood which creates a warm and rich tone with excellent depth. It also offers durability and a tone which will mature over the years, making this guitar a long lasting investment. Coupled with a flame maple top gives this guitar a stunning and eye-catching appearance. The maple also extends the tonal range of the mahogany making it the ultimate pairing.

V Neck For Smooth Play

The V shape neck is made from mahogany, yielding warmth, and sturdiness. This striking guitar features a pau ferro fingerboard, which is a more sustainable tonewood than the commonly used rosewood. Pau ferro is very similar to wenge and rosewood in both looks and tone. This substitute tonewood adds warmth and resonance to the overall tone, and provides a smooth platform for play.

Floyd Rose Special Locking Tremolo System

For many years, Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos, the Floyd Rose Special bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by the addition of a locking nut at the end of the headstock.
