The E-II FRX’s body is crafted from mahogany and features a flamed maple top, enhancing the guitar's natural brightness and creating a unique aesthetic. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles.
The ESP E-II Guitar is equipped with a 3pc maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering warm, bright tones with plenty of depth and dynamics. The maple offers roundness to the tone, providing bright characteristics and an excellent amount of sustain. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The maple and ebony combination creates a sparkling, sizzling high end, a controlled bass response, and a snappy midrange with extra presence in the lower mids.
The set of Active EMG pickups are designed with two pickups in one, featuring separate preamps and coils to deliver custom humbucker and single-coil tones. Use the push/pull located on the volume and tone controls to switch between the rich, warm tones of the humbucker and the bright sounds of the single coil. While the humbucker provides plenty of power with a clean and articulate character, both modes still deliver pristine cleans with plenty of presence. The EMG 89R is also designed with reverse coils, moving the single-coil closer to the neck to capture the sweet spot many single-coil players favour.
The E-II FRX Guitar features a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge and a locking nut system, providing a range of unique sounds and accents to enhance your sound. The bridge can create amazing dive bombs and pitch bends, while the locking nut ensures the guitar retains its original tuning and enhances tuning stability for the ultimate performance.
The guitar is finished off with high-end hardware to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability and reduces string slippage, while the Schaller straplocks protect against accidental strap release, ensuring players can deliver a powerful performance without worrying about dropping their guitar.
