The E-II Horizon NT’s body is crafted from mahogany and features a maple top to enhance the guitar's natural brightness. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles.
The ESP E-II Guitar is equipped with a 3pc maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering warm, bright tones with plenty of depth and dynamics. The maple offers roundness to the tone, providing bright characteristics and an excellent amount of sustain. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The maple and ebony combination creates a sparkling, sizzling high end, a muscular controlled bass response, and a snappy midrange with extra presence in the lower mids.
Featuring Seymour Duncan 59/Custom Hybrid and Jazz humbucking pickups, the E-II Horizon delivers iconic tones perfect for everything from blues to heavy rock and metal. The Jazz neck pickup offers a bright, versatile tone suitable for almost any musical style, with its vintage output, alnico V bar magnet, and special coil wind creating a glassy treble response, a full, tight low-end, and a scooped midrange to allow each note to sing clearly, even under extreme distortion. The 59/Custom Hybrid humbucker features one coil from their 59 model and one coil from their custom model, offering a harmonically rich, gritty tone with sparkling upper mid harmonics for a versatile performance. Designed with mismatched coils and an alnico V bar magnet, the hybrid pickup creates a nice, tight low-end, a crunchy top end with plenty of bite, and a midrange grind ideal for hard rock and metal.
The guitar is finished off with high-end hardware to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece offers incredible string stability, enhancing the overall sustain and resonance while the Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability and reduces string slippage. The E-II Horizon also features Schaller straplocks to protect against accidental strap release, ensuring players can deliver a powerful performance without the worry of dropping their guitar.
