The AJ7 guitar wields a versatile pair of Active EMG 66-7H/57-7H Pickups, which are favoured by many professional musicians and there is no doubt as to why. The 66-7 at the neck produces a warm and crisp sound with plenty of depth, and the 57-7 at the bridge position produces a full and defined sound with great punch.
The AJ7 features a double cutaway body crafted from mahogany, which offers a rich and full tone with plenty of resonance. The mahogany body has a classic black satin finish with striking white binding for added elegance. The 3-piece maple neck is sturdy, strong and therefore more resistant to warping than a classic 1-piece. The maple delivers a bright and twangy tone with good clarity, and the rosewood brings a soft, articulate sound.
The innovative Locking Tune-O-Matic bridge is manufactured with high tension springs which are fitted into the stable attachments. The bridge clips and locks into place reliably, which means you don't need to worry whilst you are rocking out. The Tune-O-Matic Bridge and LTD Locking tuners provide excellent intonation and stable tuning.
The ESP LTD AJ7 incorporates a string-thru body construction which provides improved tonality and sustain. It does this by transferring vibrations and resonance from the strings, over the Tune-O-Matic bridge and through the body.
