Nordstrand Big Splits Pickups

The ESP LTD H-1005SE Bass Guitar is loaded with premium electronics, including a pair of Nordstrand Big Splits Pickups. These iconic pickups were designed as a hybrid of jazz and precision basses, and produce a fat, balanced and exceptional tone, perfect for any style of music. Additionally, players can easily shape their tone with the active/passive mini-switch, mid-frequency selection mini-switch, bass, treble, mid EQ controls, as well as master volume and balance controls.

Excellent Intonation

The Gotoh Tuners offer reliable and consistant tuning all night, while the Gotoh Bridge is versatile and produces a sonorous tone with excellent intonation.

Premium Tonewoods

The ESP LTD H-1005SE 5-String Bass Guitar's body is crafted from mahogany, which is an incredibly durable and popular body tonewood. Mahogany provides a full and resonant tone, with plenty of richness which works well with many styles of music. The rich mahogany is topped with burled maple, which not only provides a stunning and unique swirly visual, but it also offers a slightly warmer tone than classic maple which complements the mahogany well. The body features a single cutaway and a smaller dimensions than other LTD basses, offering a comfortable playing experience and easier access to the higher frets.

5-Piece Maple/Bubinga Neck

The 5-piece neck is more resistant to warping than a classic 1-piece neck, making it durable and long lasting. Bubinga as a neck tonewood offers a bright midrange and a thick bottom, while maple has a clear and defined sound with plenty of twang. The smooth neck offers a smooth play whilst navigating the rosewood fingerboard. The rosewood fingerboard offers rich tones with warmth and a soft high end. The neck through construction offers a stunning, natural appearance, as the contrasting colours of the deep bubinga and the light maple create a beautiful striped effect through the centre of the body.
