EMG Humbuckers Deliver the Perfect Metal Tone

To achieve that iconic crushing Parkway Drive sound, the JL-600 Signature is equipped with a set of powerful EMG humbuckers. Both pickups are constructed from close aperture coils and ceramic magnets to deliver the incredible detail and meaty tone ideal for metal. EMG pickups are favoured for their high output and low noise performance, ensuring you always get a strong, crisp sound.

The Bridge is equipped with an EMG 81, letting you deliver a variety of thick, punchy tones. The neck sports EMG's 60 humbucker, producing plenty of warmth and crispness. Switch between these pickups to give your rhythm sections extra power and low-end growl, or create sharp solos and striking leads.

Built for Comfort and Speed

Jeff Ling's Signature ESP is crafted from a lightweight alder body, delivering a comfortable playing experience, an enhanced sustain, and excellent resonance. The smooth body is coupled with an extra thin U-shaped neck, letting you deliver speedy solos with ease - especially at the higher frets. A Macassar ebony fingerboard is also added to offer an incredibly smooth feel for extra sonic clarity.

The JL-600 also features a neck-through body construction. This design helps maximise the contact between the neck and body, improving the overall resonance for an advanced sustain. This setup is ideal for letting notes ring to add extra dynamics to your performance.

High-Quality Hardware for a Stable Performance

With Jeff's incredibly powerful playing style, his guitar will need to be extra stable to survive any type of life with him. The addition of a TonePros locking tune-o-matic and ESP's locking tuners help remedy that.

The TonePros improves upon the standard tune-o-matic design, featuring a bridge that locks down to the posts with 2 small screws. This results in an increase in sustain and playability, while also letting you find the perfect intonation. The TonePros also has a string-through body setup, which optimises the transfer of vibrations from the strings to the body - improving the overall sustain and resonance.

Back in 2008, ESP introduced their own locking tuners on many new and existing LTD Signature & Deluxe series instruments. Ease of use and elegant design were their key goals in designing these keys. They help eliminate the need for wraps on the tuner shaft, improving tuning stability, reduce string slippage, and simplify the restringing process.

About Jeff Ling

Jeff Ling is the lead guitarists of Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive. His use of agile and melodic lead lines requires a guitar that can keep up with the most brutal riffs, blistering solos, and anthemic sections. Jeff has used an ESP since the beginning of Parkway Drive (2003). This resulted in his signature model being a versatile and reliable instrument built for the stage.
