The Eminence Reignmaker 12'' FDM Speaker offers the classic British tone of an Eminence Redcoat speaker, with their innovative FDM technology for attenuation at the speaker. The FDM technology allows you to drive an amplifier to full, achieving a powerful, driven tone, without reaching unreasonable volume levels, by attenuating the level at the speaker, and therefore after the gain stages. The driver offers balanced British tone with tight lows, detailed mids and articulate high end, all at any volume level, letting you perfect your live sound in combination with a PA.

Innovative FDM Technology

The Eminence Reignmaker speaker features Flux Density Modulation Technology, which effectively acts as an in-built attenuator for the driver. In short, FDM manipulates the densities within a loudspeaker motor structure to allow attenuation on the speaker itself, with no need for peripheral attenuation boxes to accomplish this. The benefit of the on board attenuation is to achieve a fully driven tone, without having unruly volume levels, an amp can be driven all the way to 10, giving all the crunch and drive you could need, and then the speaker attenuates the volume level, without sacrificing feel.
