Epiphone launched a new range of instruments which would be come firm favourites with artists in the upcoming British rock and electric blues explosion. Artists such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones used Epiphone because of their unique designs, great sound and long history of affordable quality.

This 50th Anniversary "1962" Sorrento Outfit is a completely hollow guitar that makes for a lightweight instrument with a huge range of tones. The guitar features a laminated Maple body, a Mahogany neck with a 1960s SlimTaper™ profile and Rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. Nice style touches complete the vintage look of this guitar including pearloid dot inlays, historically accurate binding and a tortoise style pickguard. Mini Humbucking Bite

Originally created by Epiphone in the late 50's, Mini Humbuckers are a favourite amongst jazz and rock players alike for their immense flexibility. They give a perfect combination of the bite heard in single coils with the warm overtones found in PAF style full sized humbuckers. The pickups were favourites amongst artists including Johnny Winter, Pete Townshend of The Who and Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy.

Classic Epiphone Hardware

The retro Tune-o-matic™ floating bridge combines a Rosewood bridge base with a reissue of the original classic Trapeze tailpiece. Wilkinson™ Vintage /style machine heads with small buttons and a 14:1 tuning ratio sit nicely with black TopHat controls. The dovewing headstock has a classic Epiphone metal logo badge with a historically accurate blue rectangular Epiphone label. The Sorrento's high quality electronics include CTS potentiometers and a 1/4" non-rotating output jack.
