A Classic Alder Body

The Classic Series Strat features an alder body, producing balanced, resonant tones with plenty of clarity and midrange bite ideal for the versatile musician. The alder tonewood provides a decent amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, beautifully rounded lows, and a beefy midrange. Fender have used alder as their tonewood of choice since the 1950s, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues playing.

Maple Neck & Pau Ferro Fingerboard

The Fender Guitar’s maple neck provides bright tonal characteristics, tightening up the sound and giving it plenty of cut. The maple delivers a powerfully sharp punch when the strings are hit hard, whilst still retaining its clarity to allow each note to sing. The vintage-style 7.25'' radius pau ferro fingerboard offers the same fundamental tones as a rosewood fingerboard, while the ''C'' shaped profile provides a smooth playing feel. The pau ferro also delivers a warm, soft tone whilst helping to ‘fur up’ the maple’s natural sound. The neck and fingerboard combination provide the guitar with sparkling, sizzling highs, a thick, firm low end, and an open midrange with a snappy attack.

The pickups offer plenty of sustain to ensure each note sings, while its bell-like character and excellent articulation makes the guitar perfect for creating epic solos and massive soundscapes. Use the master volume and 2 x tone controls to dial in the perfect sound for any situation, and flick between pickups with the high quality 5-way switch.

Resonant Synthetic Bone Nut

Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the Fender Strat delivers an increased resonance and bright tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
