The Fender FSR Limited Edition 50s Telecaster MN features an ash wood body, delivering a classic Fender twang with sweet, airy tones. Ash is incredibly lightweight, allowing you to play without feeling the weight of the guitar. The tonewood provides the guitar with excellent resonance and sustain, offering firm lows, pleasing highs, and a scooped midrange. The Fender is then finished off with knurled flat top control knobs, a shell pickguard, chrome hardware and a Lake Placid Blue finish, creating a classic look that Fender fans will love.
The signature Telecaster is fitted with a beautiful maple neck and fingerboard, providing the guitar with a lusciously bright tonal character while tightening up the overall tone and delivering plenty of cut. The tonewood is perfect for a wide range of playing styles, delivering a powerfully sharp punch with excellent clarity when the strings are hit hard. Medium to light picking brings out the subtler tonal characteristics of the maple, providing the guitar with a lavish undertone of depth and crispness. Crafted both neck and fingerboard from maple helps improve the Tele’s sound by adding a slight sizzle to the high end while keeping the lows firm and mids snappy.
The guitar boasts Fender’s American Vintage '58 Tele single-coil in the bridge and a P-90 at the neck, designed to offer classic tones with modern reliability and durability. Wound to precise specifications for authentic, traditional Fender tone and performance, the Vintage pickup offers bright tones with enhanced dynamics thanks to its alnico 5 magnets. The bridge pickup is designed with staggered pole pieces to ensure volume balance across each string, allowing the guitar to produce clear, light tones with an upper-end edge. The neck pickup provides sweet tones with excellent clarity, perfect for strumming and chords.
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the signature guitar delivers an increased resonance and bright tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
Each Limited Edition guitar is only available for a short time, which makes it eminently collectible while also adding to its investment value. Crafted with many features normally reserved only for select artists and master-built instruments, these guitars are exactly what their name says - highly anticipated limited edition models.
The rich history of Fender guitars begins with the Telecaster. An indispensable instrument, the Telecaster was the world's first successful solid-body electric guitar. Perfected after two years of development - and a name change or two - the Telecaster debuted in February 1951 and began its steady ascent towards the stage and studio. Ingeniously engineered with the ability to be heard both loud and clear, it was a marvel of simple design elegance and workhorse functionality. It is perhaps a fitting testimony to its essential original rightness that the Telecaster design has hardly changed ever since.
