Maple/Poplar/Maple Body & F Sound Holes

Constructed from a semi-hollow Maple/Poplar/Maple body the ES-339 produces a bright, tight and precise tone with a balanced low and crisp high response. Additionally the "F" shaped sound holes allow unique vibration circulation within the body creating a warm and resonant tone with plenty of presence and finished in a stunning ebony lacquer.

Burstbucker Humbucking Pickups

Incorporating a set of Burstbucker humbucking pickups designed to recreate the tone of the classic Gibson PAF pickups the Gibson ES-339 produces a rich vintage tone. The Burstbucker 1 in the bridge position provides a medium output with a well-rounded and creamy tone due to the alnico magnets and under-wound construction whilst the Burstbucker 2 in the neck position delivers a slightly hotter tone similar to a '57 classic pickups.

Historic Maple Neck & Truss Rod

Featuring a traditional "C" profile Mahogany neck with re-designed dimensions the Gibson ES-339 offers an effortless playability whilst the set-in construction ensures maximum vibration transferal for long sustain and increased resonance. With an added thickness to the headstock stem the ES-339 delivers a stronger and more stable construction ideal for hard wearing playing. The headstock adjustable historic truss rod provides superior adjustability due to the Teflon coating, larger diameter and robust Brass anchor.

Bone Nut & Rolled Neck Binding

The Gibson ES-339 employs a carefully fitted bone nut to provide an improved tone and sustain over traditional plastic and tusq nuts as it improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone. With a medium Rosewood fingerboard finished with Pearloid block inlays the ES-339 provides a smooth and quick playability whilst the rolled neck binding is rounded off to allow a comfortable fit to the contours of the hand.
