Incorporating a set of Burstbucker Pro humbucking pickups designed to recreate the tone of the classic Gibson PAF pickups, the Les Paul Standard 2016 HP produces a rich vintage tone. The Burstbucker in the bridge position provides a medium output with a well-rounded and creamy tone due to the alnico magnets and under-wound construction whilst the Burstbucker in the neck position delivers a slightly hotter tone similar to '57 classic pickups.
Compound Radius Fingerboard
The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2016 HP incorporates a unique and innovative compound-radius fretboard design. The fretboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut, providing a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the fast-access heel allows sensational accessibility and speed at the high register, perfect for both lead and rhythm players.
Tune-O-Matic Bridge
Tune-O-Matic bridges are an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to their stability, reliability, comfortable playing position and impressive sustain. Additionally adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge.
