The Les Paul 50s Tribute embodies the look, feel and tone of the first generation of Les Pauls. A classic Les Paul from the era of early rock, this 50s Tribute sports a pair of fat Gibson single-coil P-90 pickups whilst the 50s neck profile is rounded and comfortable. This along with Gibson's most advanced hardware set ever ensures smooth playability, precise tuning and intonation.

Classic Tonewood Combination

This Les Paul begins with the classic tonewood combination of Mahogany on the body and solid carved Maple for the top. This produces a tonal depth and complexity which is unmatched by any single wood construction. The Mahogany gives a deep warmth and richness whilst the Maple gives a bright clarity and snap. The Mahogany back has been specially lightened to both lessen your load and improve resonance. This combines to give a surprising breadth and articulation to the guitar's scorching, amped sound.

50s Profile Neck

The solid Mahogany neck is glued into the body in the traditional Gibson way and has been carved to a comfortably rounded 50s profile that measures .818" at the first fret and .963" at the 12th. The Rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets and traditional trapezoid inlays.

Screaming P-90 Pickups

The powerful performance of this 50s Tribute comes from a pair of Gibson's beloved P90 pickups, some of the most revevered tone machines in Gibson's history! These P-90s adhere strictly to the vintage formula, which includes genuine Alnico V bar magnets and coils wound with 42-AWG enamel-coated wire for all the growl, snarl, and articulation that has made the originals legendary.

Premium Gibson Hardware

There's an independent volume and tone control per pickup plus a three way toggle selector switch that allows a broad range of sonic variations. Hardware on this 50s Les Paul also includes a Tune-o-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece and the new innovative Min-ETune™ tuners. Put it all together and you have tons of sustain, precision tuning and a perfect tribute to the Les Paul's contributions to early days of rock.

Understated, Elegant Design

This Les Paul is both powerful and beautiful. In keeping with the understated design of this guitar both the body and board remain unbound and the body has been left pickguard free so as not to hide the vintage sunburst finish. A PLEK-cut nut, made from black Corian™ complements the black top-hat knobs with silver inserts whilst also enhancing resonance and sustain. The headstock is silkscreened with a Gold Gibson logo and Les Paul Model.
