The Godin A5 provides a great playing experience for both acoustic and electric bassists with a combination of features from both guitars. It brings the deep tones and excellent resonance of an acoustic bass, combined with the comfortable, slim body and neck of an electric bass. Perfect for bass players looking to try something new, whether you are an acoustic player moving to electric or the other way around, semi-acoustic is the obvious answer.
Offering more sonic possibilities than ever before, the A5 Ultra features a Low Profile Lace Sensor pickup for balanced tones, with a preamp for effortless tonal shaping. The guitar features custom Godin electronics with individual saddle transducers in the bridge and a custom preamp section voiced specifically for the A5 SA which together offer a versatile playing experience.
The A5 Ultra Bass features a 1/4'' output and 13-pin capabilities, which work with a synthesizer and allow you to use a variety of different sounds and to control them with a synth volume slider. This versatile function provides an easy recording interface and an opportunity to use powerful music production tools.
The Godin A5 Ultra features a maple neck that offers an incredibly comfortable and smooth feel when navigating the fingerboard. The maple neck produces bright tones with good clarity, while the rosewood fingerboard provides the richer warm tones for a versatile playing experience.
