The Hofner New President features a solid, hand-carved top made from selected solid German Spruce and an arched back in Flamed Maple with no centreblock. The Flamed Maple neck is topped by an Ebony fingerboard, and has the joint at the 16th fret to give easy access to the upper frets.

The guitar features Hofner Diamond pickups.
