Stable and Resonant Construction

The FTM33 is designed to transmit the vastly varying tones and tensions of 8 strings. To do this, it has a thoroughly stable construction with every specification focussed on strength and resonance. The neck-through design ensures that a solid block of wood runs along the complete length of the strings and beyond, while the ash wings transmit that resonance and enhances the sustain.

The neck is strengthened by its 7pc construction of sandwiched maple and walnut, with additional titanium rods helping maintain absolute stability. The tonewoods are not only strong, they guarantee a resonant platform for your music-making and give a bright tonality with the jatoba fingerboard assisting with low-end articulation.

This guitar is constructed to deliver a professional level of stability and reliability, helping it to meet the demands of modern metal guitar performance over an extended 8-string range.

Lundgren Pickups

The Lundgren Model M8P humbuckers have a tricky job to do - amplifying the huge pitch range of 8-strings with clarity and articulation.

The pickups do this job with ease, and let you use as much overdrive and distortion as you need, for the thickest of tones. Whether you're creating liquid smooth lead guitar lines, detailed riffing with rapid muting, or complex chord voicings; the Lundgren pickups will let you achieve all the sounds you need for modern metal performance.

Smooth Playability

The neck-through body design gives an exceptionally smooth feel as you traverse to the top of the neck. The single cutaway design enables easy top-fret access, while the thin neck allows you to reach all 8 strings with as much simplicity as possible (partly depending on your finger size of course!).

The 22 jumbo frets provide enhanced control over the strings during vibratos, string bends, and in legato playing, while the flat 400mm radius enables you to set up a low action with no risk of the strings "choking".

Stable Hardware

Along with the titanium reinforcement rods, multi-ply neck and neck-thru construction, the FTM33 also has an FX Edge-III bridge. This is a unique double locking hardtail design specifically created to cope with the demands of 8 different string tensions. The bridge creates a strong platform to transfer string vibration to the body, enhancing sustain and resonance; perfect for modern meta playing styles with high-gain.
