As well as a lightweight body, the 40th Anniversary Benson Signature is also equipped with a 3-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard, offering an incredibly stable and smooth performance. The maple tonewood provides the overall tone with a beautifully bright characteristic, creating a sizzling high-end with plenty of punch. The ebony fingerboard features a smooth, natural finish, along with a very responsive bright, snappy attack and a smooth sustain. It’s bound edges and Artstar fret edge treatment creates a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
The Signature Ibanez GB10SE features a set of special floating custom-wound humbucking pickups, specially designed in collaboration with Gorge Benson to suit his personal needs. To celebrate George Benson's 40th year with Ibanez, his signature GB40THII is equipped with a range of classic hardware adorned with special 40th anniversary decals to deliver something extra special.
