The detachable finger ramp is designed to encourage players not to "dig in too deep", allowing a more consistent attack with quick recovery time. The bass also features Gary's special shaped machineheads, and a striking Black Flat finish.

The GWB35 has a baswood body and a 34-piece maple neck with a fretless ebony fingerboard with off-set white dot position inlays. The SFR-GWB pickup is complemented by an EQB-GWII 2-band equaliser.
