Paul Stanley is an American musician, singer and songwriter, primarily known for being the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of rock band Kiss. Having recently returned to Ibanez guitars, he has produced a signature model built to last on the road and ready to tour. The Ibanez PS10 electric guitar provides a premium playing experience based on the Iceman body shape. This guitar is made to stand out from the crowd and offer a thoroughly solid and reliable performance that sounds as good as it looks.
The PS10 body is built from a mahogany base with a maple top and offers a solid, authoritative tone. The maple top adds sparkle and overtones giving this guitar a deep range of tonal variety. The body shape, based on the Ibanez Iceman, gives the PS10 a distinct look that is surprisingly comfortable to play both when stood up on stage or sat down. The body and neck both feature an abalone and acrylic binding to really give this guitar an air of quality.
The PS10 features a 3 piece maple neck which is attached to the body with an effortlessly comfortable set-neck design. An ebony fingerboard enables a tight low end and quick response. The flat radius fingerboard enables easy lead guitar playing and the medium frets feature the prestige fret-end treatment to offer a liquid-smooth feel.
The PS10 includes a Full Tune III bridge and Quick Change III tailpiece with an added design feature from Paul. This offers excellent tuning stability and a quick setup when you need to make alterations in a hurry. A sustain block is also provided alongside a unique half-bone/half-brass nut adding a warm sustaining tone and reliable intonation to this guitar.
The PS10 comes equipped with two Seymour Duncan pickups. The Seymour Duncan 59 model in the neck position has a sweet sustain, full-sounding chords, and a clear and bright attack. The Custom 5 in the bridge position has a nice balance of bass and treble, full tone, and a partially scooped midrange. These pickups ensure that the guitar has a versatile range of tones to play with, whether you like to perform Kiss songs or simply play rock and blues.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
