The RG continues to be one of the most recognisable and distinctive guitars in the Ibanez line. Originally unleashed in the 80's, this high-performance machine was built with speed, strength and durability in mind. Used back then in the early careers of the likes of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, this series of guitars soon became synonymous with guitarists seeking to push the boundaries of various genres of music. Still a firm favourite today the RG is still at the forefront of guitar technology.

Modern guitarists like pop punk legend The Offspring's Dexter Holland and the brutal riffmeister Per Nilsson of Scar symmetry, continue to choose the RG over its contemporaries, meaning the Ibanez RG series is set to continue to be the first choice for modern heavy music for many more decades to come.
RG Tremolo models stand up to the most abusive whammy bar users around, while still maintaining perfect tuning stability. Lightning fast fretboard work is no problem with the Wizard neck, flat fingerboard and jumbo frets.
Wizard III Maple neck
Ibanez's thin, flat, and fast, yet strong and sturdy, Wizard neck offers unlimited playability for demanding players, and features a two-octave 24-fret fret board for wide tonal range.
IBZ INF3/INF3S/INF4 Pickups
The Infinity 3 pickup provides dynamic sound for chording and rhythm playing, and the Infinity 4 is a brilliant lead pickup with warm sound and strong harmonics.
Edge Zero II Tremolo
Installation of the zero point system in the Edge Zero II makes tuning easier and faster as well as providing stable tuning for long performances, all while maintaining smooth tremolo playing. Loss of tuning is kept to a minimum even when a string breaks. For players that prefer a full floating system, simply remove the stop bar.
ZPS (Zero Point System)
No friction points make the ZPS the smoothest Ibanez Back Stop ever.
An additional outer pair of springs provides easier tuning and better tuning stability than the traditional floating tremolo-plus the other strings will remain in tune if a string breaks.
Switchable To Floating Trem
One of the best ZPS features! Just remove the stop bar and the ZPS easily changes to floating trem operation.
Manually Adjustable Spring System
Spring tension can be quickly set by thumb. There's no need for a hex wrench.
