The Ibanez has a body crafted from Mahogany, offering a dense construction to produce warm, soft tones that’s well balanced with good grind and bite. Topped off with Imbuia, the guitar’s tones is given bright characteristics, with ample amounts of bass to provide incredible depth. The Mahogany and Imbuia work together to deliver sparkling highs that are very appealing, a warm midrange, and full low end without feeling too tight. Gold hardware and a dark mocha finish add to the stylish body design, creating a visually stunning guitar that is capable of producing powerfully complex tones.
The Maple/Walnut neck and Ebony fingerboard has been designed with a thin "C" shape for a smooth, fast play. Using both Maple and Walnut for the neck gives the guitar’s tone bright characteristics, with plenty of warmth to it. The two woods work together to produce firm lows, sizzling highs, and a snappy attack in the mids. Adding an Ebony fingerboard adds tightness to the guitars tone, giving it definition, along with a muscular, controlled bass and snappy sizzling highs. The guitar’s neck is also reinforced with titanium rods from KTS, offering a lightweight design with better tone and playability then standard neck rods.
The use of Ibanez's own Wizard HP (High Performance) neck allows for the Prestige to be extremely playable and is optimized for lead guitarists. The thin nature of the neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance. The neck is treated with their Prestige fret edge treatment, creating a seamless feel along the neck and allow for a more comfortable and smooth play.
A set of Bare Knuckle humbuckers are featured on the S6UC and produce a combination of old school and modern rock tones. The high output humbuckers use Alnico V magnets to deliver a huge, deep bottom end, with a rich, throaty midrange, and warm highs. Create hot, fat blues rock, or aggressive thrash tones, the Nailbombs will provide a powerfully strong voice. Contemporary layers will like the full bore reaction the pickups offer, while the old school players will enjoy the range of classic tones and responses. The neck Nailbomb delivers a ‘woody’ sound with bright characteristics when played clean, and when overdrive is added will create a tight, focused tone with a precise attack.
The Ibanez Lo Pro Edge is a high performance double locking tremolo that was first introduced in 1991 in six and seven string form and was fitted on selective high-end Ibanez models. The extremely versatile floating tremolo system provides an added range of playing capabilities and improved tuning stability. Its streamlined profile and recessed fine tuners offers incredible playing comfort, while its locking studs contribute to the tuning stability.
