Key Features
Pure tone, pure speed, pure Jackson. The X Series King V KVXMG is built for metal. It is loaded with EMG pickups for monstrous output, giving your leads all the sustain they could ever want and a Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo, so huge whammy bends and dive bombs will return to pitch without putting your guitar out.
The King V is an iconic shape that helped define how metal not only sounds but also looks. Its matte black finish with matching hardware looks like a statement in itself, and that statement is clearly heard as soon as you plug this in and turn it up.

The EMG 81 was not only an innovation in guitar pickups but still holds its place as one of the most popular pickups in metal! Power is the first word that comes to mind - this will push your amp into outrageous realms of distortion. No matter how dense the mix is, you will never fail to be heard.
Complementing the EMG 81 in the bridge is the 85 in the neck. It has exceptional tone and 'muscle' that adds a new dimension to your sound and gives perfect note definition, even within extreme metal styles where heavy distortion dominates.
The X -Series King V is instantly recognisable with its distinctive design. It's made from a poplar body. Although this is one of the ‘softer’ hardwoods, it provides a warmer tone compared to woods like ash and maple. This helps give depth to your tone which complements the EMG pickups perfectly, adding 'depth' and 'weight'. This body also houses just a handful of controls: a three-way pickup selector as well as a volume and tone control. It's straightforward and functional - all you need to achieve an incredible tone.
For metal, speed and comfort are of the utmost importance. This is addressed with a compound radius 12’’- 16’’ which keeps the neck flat at the higher frets meaning your notes won’t ‘fret-out’ when you are performing bends. The 25.5'' scale is familiar, comfortable, and complements the ‘attack’ of each plucked note because of the tension. Having a flatter neck is also essential for navigating your fretboard quickly, meaning solos feel easy on your hands and provide fluidity to your playing.
The X Series King V is finished off with great looking hardware that sits beautifully with the matte-black metal aesthetic. The two knobs, three-way selector, bridge, and tuners are all black which further adds to its menacing character. The EMGs provide incredible power and note definition whilst the Floyd Rose keeps everything in tune - it is a great combination that gives you the tools to play without boundaries.
