Quality Construction

The Martin HD-28 features a solid sitka spruce top, well regarded for its sweet, smooth and 'all-round' tone with great projection and volume, combined with rosewood back and sides, that provide warmth with complex harmonic overtones. This mix of spruce and rosewood makes the HD-28 a balanced instrument with a versatile palette of tones.

High-Grade Additions

Other quality features of the Martin HD-28 include: HD zig-zag and white boltaron binding, belly style bridge in solid black ebony, compensated bone saddle, chrome enclosed tuners, a tortoise pickguard and a high-grade polished gloss finish.

Strong, Stable Neck

The hardwood neck of the HD-28 is crafted with a satin finished, low profile neck shape that provides comfort and ease of playability from a 25.4'' scale length. A solid black ebony fingerboard with 20 frets, leads to a square taper headstock complete with a raised gold foil, east Indian rosewood headplate and chrome enclosed tuning machines.
