The Martin OM-28 features a solid sitka spruce top, well regarded for its sweet, smooth and 'all-round' tone with great projection and volume, combined with rosewood back and sides, that provide warmth with complex harmonic overtones. This mix of spruce and rosewood makes the OM-28 a balanced instrument with a versatile tone palette.
Other quality features that set the Martin OM-28 apart include: HD zig-zag purfling with grained ivoroid binding, 1930s style belly bridge in solid black ebony with a compensated, white tusq saddle, nickel open-geared tuners, a Delmar tortoise pickguard and a high-grade polished gloss finish with aging toner on top.
The hardwood neck of the OM-28 is crafted with a modified low oval profile and a performing artist taper providing comfort and ease of playability from a 25.4" scale length. A solid black ebony fingerboard with 20 frets and diamond and square inlays, leads to a square taper headstock complete with nickle open-geared tuning machines.
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
