The rosewood back and sides also produce rich warmth with superb resonance and volume.
The Martin OMC-35E features a curvaceous and compact OMC body, which provides a comfortable playing experience combined with a versatile sound that player's won't be able to put down. Adding to its comfortable playing experience, this stunning electro acoustic features a Venetian cutaway profile, offering easy access to upper frets and more challenging chords. Although the OMC is comfortable to play and more compact in size, the guitar produces a remarkably full sound, ideal for both studio and stage work. Its commanding voice is bold yet articulate, and offers a well-balanced sound that is perfect for fingerpicking, strumming, or soloing. Blues and jazz enthusiasts will also adore the response that the OMC-35E projects when picked or strummed, accommodating numerous playing styles and techniques with equal ease.
The Martin OMC-35E comes equipped with Fishman electronics, making it perfect for the performing musician. In 2016, Martin introduced the sophisticated Aura VT Enhance preamp system, which offers advanced and innovative technology, described as the virtual blender of all pickups. The Aura VT Enhance is able to combine the raw pickup signal with an acoustic image that reveals the true nature and personality of an acoustic guitar. The Aura VT Enhance with acoustic imaging also features a new bridge plate mounted transducer, which adds dimension, resonance, and body to the guitar's overall tone.
With a select hardwood neck and a high performance neck taper, players are certain to adore the Martin's smooth and easy playability. Additionally, the neck's modified low oval shape offers a smooth and comfortable playing experience, ensuring players have a firm, comfortable, and secure grip up and down the neck. Its select hardwood neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard which adds a bright attack, superb sustain, and plenty of bite to the guitar's overall sound. For added elegance, the OMC-35E's fingerboard is also sprinkled with mother of pearl style 28 inlays.
Plek Technology uses a computer-controlled machine that carefully measures each fret, along with the fingerboard height under each string. This innovative Plek Technology then automatically dresses each fret, virtually eliminating string buzz and greatly improving the overall playability of the guitar. This pioneering process does the same work in a matter of minutes in comparison to how long it takes a luthier to complete the same job which can take up to several hours, sometimes even days to accomplish.
The OM-35E features a real bone nut, which offers excellent resonance and sustain, along with an authentic appearance. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer.
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
